Folios 231-232: Donald M'Leod [Donald MacLeod], Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 11 March 1811 he states:- (1) John Evans was impressed on 23 February 1811 as an Able Seaman aged 33 born in Anglesea. He said he was Mate of the Recovery. He was taken drunk in a Public House a quarter before 10 o'clock at night. (2) The case of Samuel Southern was reported in his letter dated 28 February 1811 wherein he observed he then said he came here in the Tiger and that the enclosed Indenture was produced to claim him as belonging to the Barton, The date of which appeared to have been altered from 1806 to 1809. But he supposes a Credit is due to the inclosed Affidavit. (3) Thomas Kirkham was impressed by Lieutenant William Archbold on 17 February 1811 as an Ordinary Seaman aged 23 born in Runcorn. He said he was a Flatman but acknowledged he was then employed in a Coasting Vessel going to Ireland.
Folios 233-234: enclosure with folios 231-232. Letter dated 9 March 1811 by Joseph Kirkham (reply to) Mrs Bradshaw's, Queen Street Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of her son Thomas Kirkham Flatman of Warrington.
Folios 235-236: enclosure with folios 231-232. Letter dated 8 March 1811 by Hugh Evans, 23 Ki[?] Street, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of his son John Evans.
Folios 237-238: enclosure with folios 231-232. Letter dated 9 March 1811 by Thomas Hughes, Town Clerks Office, Liverpoo, to the Admiralty. He is directed by the Mayor to enclose the Affidavit relative to an enquire in an Indenture of Samuel Southern.
Folio 239: enclosure with folios 231-232. Affidavit. John Allanson Huntington of Liverpool apprentice to Messrs Barton Irlane and Higgingson Merchants and William Barton of Liverpool aforesaid Merchants one of the said firms make oath that Samuel Southern is an Indentured Apprentice for 6 June 1809.
