Folios 238-239: John Marshall, Regulating Officer, Poole Rendezvous. Advises that Thomas Rose and William Down were impressed by him having arrived on the Heram from Labrador. Advises that they have both lived in Newfoundland.
Folios 240-241: enclosed with folios 238-239. Letter dated 9 November 1810 by Thomas Rose, Poole to the Admiralty. Advises he is a planter on the coast of Labrador and having business to transact in England he took a passage on the Heram arriving in Poole on 8 November and was impressed by Lieutenant Marshall. Asks that he be discharged providing he can procure 2 Seamen to serve in his stead.
Folios 242-243: enclosed with folios 238-239. Letter dated 9 November 1810 by William Down, Poole to the Admiralty. Advises he is a planter in Newfoundland and came to Poole on the Heram to arrange his affairs and was impressed on the day of his arrival. Asks that he be discharged providing he can procure 2 Landsmen to serve in his stead.
