Folios 177-178: John Marshall, Regulating Officer, Poole Rendezvous. Advises that a man who called himself William Jones was impressed on shore and the next day was claimed by the Master of the Goodwood in the name of William Beaumont. He advised he was an Apprentice but produced no indentures. He was put on board HMS Royal William.
Folios 179-180: enclosed with folios 177-178. Letter dated 18 October 1810 by William Capon, Freeman of the City of Rochester, Chatham, Kent to the Admiralty. Advises that his Apprentice, William Beaumont, as shown in the enclosed indenture, was impressed at Poole when belonging to the sloop Goodwood, employed by the Board of Ordnance, and was named in the sloop's protection. Advises that he is on board HMS Royal William and asks for his discharge.
