Folios 158-159: James Nasmyth Marshall, Regulating Officer, Southampton. Advises that William Fairweather, Mate of the Amelia was impressed by the Southampton Gang at Redbridge as he was proceeding from a public house.
Folios 160-161: enclosed with folios 158-159. Letter dated 20 October 1810 by J Fishwater to the Admiralty. Requested by Captain James Abbot, the Amelia of Dundee, to apply for the discharge of William Fairweather, Mate of the Amelia, who is now on board HMS Royal William at Spithead. Advises he was impressed at Southampton and an application for his discharge was made to Sir Roger Curtis at Portsmouth, who informed Captain Abbot that he could not discharge him without an order from the Admiralty. Asks for a discharge.
