Folios 237-238: John Taylor Michell, Regulating Captain, The Rendezvous, Exeter. Responds to the question concerning the low number of men raised for the last 7 years and the probability of future numbers. The Captain reports that there has been no lack of exertion, but there is a lack of men and boys for the impress, the war has been lengthy and high bounties are given in the army.
