Joel [Trefey?] was impressed by Lieutenant Rees as ab Ordinary aged 21 years and claimed to be born in America. He was likely to be born in this town with a Mother and Brother living here and there is a strong resemblance to the woman who came forward. Thomas Webb Child was impressed by Lieutenant Rees aged 34 years and a native of America. He was married in the town and has a son of 10 years. Reynolds Murray was impressed by Lieutenant Clarke aged 24 years and born in America. He is likely to be a deserter from HMS Coromandel, identified by an old shipmate. Adam Gifford was impressed by Lieutenant Rees as an AB aged 20 years and claimed to be born in America. He appears to be an Englishman.
