Folios 607-608: Robert Mends, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. At a meeting of the Mayor, magistrates and hiself and the Riggers of the town it seemed that there would be a need for about 300 Riggers to be protected. Requests 10 general Protections to be granted to the 10 Master Riggers named, showing the number of men each has.
