Folios 298-299: John Lawson, HMS Thracian, Spithead. States as he is about to resign his command of HMS Thracian he fells it is an opportune to pass comment on the defects of HMS Thracian given that the severity of the gale encounterd during the ship's last cruise led to throwing part of the guns overboard. Outlines the ship's defects.
