Acknowledges a report made by the Navy Board relating to his invention for conveying motion to a ship's rudder in lieu of a tiller which the Admiralty has ordered to be fitted to HMS Southampton at Portsmouth. The Admiralty have instructed that he communicate with Captain Graham on this subject.
