Folios 281-282: Warwick Lake, HMS Ulysses, Spithead.
States the circumstances by which Lieutenant Thomas Mitchell has been marked R on the ship's book. Before Mitchell absented himself he wrote a letter to Lake reported that he was arrested at Deal when on leave but enquiries showed that he had left Deal alone on a stage coach. His account was therefore false and he was first noted as 'without leave' and then marked Run.
