On behalf of Captain Paul Lawless he refers to an enclosed order [not present] appointing him to act as captain of HMS Swallow together with Captain Milner's certificate [not present] of Lawless having kept the books and papers needed to pass the accounts between 2 May and 13 July 1809. Asks that Lawless be paid for that period.
