Refers to the enclosed duplicate commission for Charles Strangways and asks that the appointment be confirmed. He recommends Strangways.
Folio 176: enclosure with folios 165-166. Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley on board HMS Shark, Port Royal, Jamaica, 26 June 1809 writes to Charles Strangways, Master's Mate of HMS Shark, appointing him to be Lieutnant of HMS Griffon in place of A E Thompson, deceased.
