Description

Folios 188-189: David Lloyd, Sea Fencibles, Boston. States Captain Richard Prater (stationed at Friston but who was directed by him to peruse all letters or service during his period on Admiralty Leave) having forwarded a Dispatch to the Commanding Officer of His majesty's Naval Force at Yarmouth Roads, from the Lieutenant of Sheerness Signal Port (giving information of a Privateer Brig of the enemy being on the coast) for which dispatch he paid £4-12s-0d. Requests the Navy Board be directed to allow that sum in the Sea Fencibles accounts.
