Folios 141-142: William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone, Cascais Bay off the Rock of Lisbon. In his letter dated 3 December 1805 he gave the arrangements he had made fro the Convoys from Lisbon and Oporto, he states he has been disappointed in the Jamaica [Convoy?], being informed from the Consul General she passed Lisbon on 7 December 1805 on her way to Gibraltar; from which circumstances he ordered the Oporto Convoy to meet the Lisbon off the Burlings. The time of sailing was fixed for the 20 December 1805 but put off on application from the Merchants owing to the rains till 22 December 1805. [Total of two plus sides with details of the situation. mentions:-] Lieutenant John Sherriff of HMS Ann Armed Brig, Lisbon, Burlings, HMS Constance, a Spanish Brig from Corunna and French Frigates sailing today. The Topaze [French Ship] still remains in the Tagus.
