Folios 125-126: William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone, Lisbon. He reports that Boats of HMS Pomone boarded the Golandrina Spanish Lugger Privateer of four Guns and Twenty Nine Men belonging to Corunna, she had been out six weeks and not made any captures, the enemy had two men wounded and the vessel he set fire to. You will also pass on the enclosed.
Folios 127-128: enclosure with folios 125-126. Letter dated 2 December 1805 by J Johnstone, HMS Courieux, Lisbon, to William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone. Reports the capture on the 25 November 1805 West of Cape Selleiro, the Brilliano a Spanish Lugger Privateer with five Carriage Guns and 35 Men, Commanded by Don Joseph Advis, she had been out five days from Port Carril and two days before we fell in with her, she had taken the English Brig Mary from Lynn with Coals for Lisbon and the Nymph Brig from Newfoundland with fish for Viana.
Folios 129-130: enclosure with folios 125-126. Letter dated 7 November 1805 by Charles Hunt, HMS Hearty, off Viana, to William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone. Reports that when close in with Viana on the night of 4 November 1805 we boarded the Venus Brig under Poppenburgh Colours, manned from two Spanish Row Boat Privateers as well as the Sea Nymphe Hamburgh [Hamburg] Ship, also in their possession, and having obtained information from Prisoners of their having captured an English Brig, as well as an Hamburgh Brig, which at day light we discovered, the former in tow of eight Spanish Row Boats, which on our approach, and some little contention on their part, with His Majesty's Brig; they quitted, leaving no Person or Document on board, for his discovering her Proprietors as well as allowing the crew of the Hamburgh [Hamburg] Brig Aurora, to return on board, which he also took possession of: And he has to regret a perfect calm prevented his being able to capture any of the Privateers.
