Folios 119-120: William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone, Lisbon. Reports his arrival at this anchorage on 27 September 1805 after having called at Oporto and leaving HMS Ann Brig. to Cruise from that place to Viana [Viana do Castelo?], the Coast between those Ports being much infested with Spanish Row Boats. They fell in with HMS Constance on 26 September 1805 preceding to this Port (which she had left on 23 September 1805) with dispatches from Lord Nelson, those he took charge of and ordered Captain Anselm John Griffiths to Cruise between Bayonne Islands and Oporto and to give Lieutenant Sheriff [John Sherriff] directions to change his Station to the Burlings; he hopes this disposition will meet with their approbation. He has not heard anything of HMS Avon, and Captain James Dunbar of HMS Poulette took HMS Millbook with him to strengthen the Convoy. He will sail in the morning and intend going off Vigo and Brig Privateer; Cruising in the Offing between that and Oporto. HMS Scorpion sails tomorrow to join the Fleet off Cadiz and the La Topaze French Frigate is still here with her Masts and Bowsprits out.
