Folios 104-105: William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone, off Boulogne. He acquaints them, agreeable to their directions to Rear Admiral John Leigh Douglas which he received in his absence. and state the case of John Edmonds said to be an apprentice and now on board HMS Pomone. He informs his case was stated by him as per the directions of Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley to Mr Marsden on 17 April 1805 and he is now more strongly convinced from his abilities as a Seaman, he must have followed the Sea long before the 22 October 1804.
Folios 106-107: enclosure with folios 104-105. Letter dated 29 May 1805 by John Knight to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of John Edmonds an apprentice to Thomas Mankin Ship Owner who was impressed and is now on board HMS Pomone.
