Folios 80-81: William Granville Lobb, HMS Pomone, Downs. States as directed by Rear Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley he states he has enquired into the case of John Edwards of HMS Pomone said to be an apprentice, he does not know his age: be he supposes him upwards of twenty; appears to have been brought up to the Sea. He encloses the enclosure as directed.
Folios 82-83: enclosure with folios 80-81. Letter dated 10 April 1805 by Thomas Munkin, Coal Exchange, to the Admiralty. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] indentures John Edwards apprenticed to me and impressed on 13 March 1805 by an Officer and taken on board the Eliza Press Tender at North Shields and since removed to HMS Zealand. He requests his discharge.
