Folios 39-40: Woodley Losack, HMS Helena, Cove. Reply to letter dated 7 October 1805 respecting Mr Delahart late Purser of HMS Helena. He acquaints them that having had occasion to place the"R" against his name on 2ecember 1804 for absenting himself and being left behind. He did not conceive he should be acting with propriety to sign his Book's to a further date than that on which the"R" was place against him. Mr Delahart has since assured him the cause of his absence was occasioned by being arrested under such circumstances. Request permission for the"R" to be removed.
