Folios 272-273: John Wentworth Loring, HMS Bellerophon, Portsmouth Harbour. States that Mr Alexander Stewart, Carpenter of HMS Bellerophon being very old and not capable of doing his duty as an active Officer, as also the Gunner Mr John Knowles, he requests they be removed to Ship Building or Superannuation and he requests the appointment of Mr Russel Hart late Carpenter of HMS Investigator now a supernumerary on HMS Royal William and Mr John Stephenson Gunner of HMS Carnation in lieu of them.
