Description

Folios 244-245: Charles Logie, Malta. Reports his arrival at this Island on the last day of August 1803 in HMS Cyclops, Captain John Fife [Fyffe] with an intention of getting the first Convoy to return to England but a very severe fit of illness has confined [him] to the house and reduced so low that he cannot possible return by the Convoy under HMS Stately that is sailing in a few days time. He has been near three months in his bed and will return to England and soon as he is well enough to travel.
