Folios 252-253: John Larmour, HMS Clyde, off Heligoland. Advises he received orders from Lord Keith to cruise the entrance of the River Elbe to prevent vessels entering that river and to gather intelligence about the French on the banks of the Weser. Advises that on boarding the Bremen he was informed that a party of French troops had possession of Bremer Leigh on the left bank of the Weser and 2 English vessels are detained there. Advises he has received information from Sir George Rumbold, Charge Affairs at Hamburg about the French Troops molesting the Rivers Elbe and Weser justifying the necessity for a blockade.
