Folios 350-351: Edward Johnson, Holywood near Belfast. Enclosing a letter he has just received from Lieutenant Turrell and saying he is at a loss to understand the delay in its arrival.
Folios 352-353: enclosure with folios 350-351. Letter dated 9 August 1815 by Lieutenant Charles Turrell, Vauxhall Street, to Captain Johnson (formerly commander of HMS Magpie). He says that Mr Mortimer, a midshipman on the Magpie, had the previous day been committed to jail at Horsemonger Lane court, for desertion and going over to the enemy side. Hopes Captain Johnson will let their Lordships know of the measures he, Turrell, has taken to bring this man to justice.
