Folios 338-339: Samuel Jackson, HMS Niger, Portsmouth. He asks that if the Niger is to carry out similar service to the Lacedaimonian, that is in giving passage to embassy families and their suites, she may be fitted with similar reception and accommodation facilities. He also gives details of the previous occasion on which he transported such passengers aboard the Lacedaimonian and encountered a difficulty in recouping his expenses.
