Folios 249-250: James Jack, Dartmouth. Acknowledging receipt of Admiralty communication of 21 June, advising him that his name had been placed on the list of candidates for Greenwich Hospital out-pensioners and asking that he may be appointed to the first vacancy as he is very infirm and 'an old officer who has seen a great deal of service' - he and his family are subsisting on nothing but his pay.
