Folios 225-226: William Rush Jackson, HMS Briseis, Greenock. Sending a letter from his boatswain, Samuel Reid, asking to be superseded.
Folios 227-228: enclosure with folios 225-226. Letter dated 4 July 1815 by Samuel Reid, saying after many years' service in the East Indies he finds a cold climate does not suit his constitution and asks to be transferred to some ship destined for those parts.
