Folios 175-176: Richard Gaire Janverin, Hull Rendezvous. A third application to their Lordships (previous letters dated 25 and 27 May) regarding damage done by 'the populace' to a house used as a Rendezvous, whose owner is claiming serious losses incurred. Asks what means should be taken by this person to recover his costs. Adds that the gang is too weak to be really effective, with just one lieutenant, two midshipmen and 10 men, and that the populace is inclined to oppose them in every attempt to do their duty so he thinks it essential to strenthen the gang.
