Folios 165-166: Robert Julyan, HMS Rolla, Plymouth Sound. Advising that his late lieutenant James Stone, had in hand at the time of being superseded a sum of money belonging to the men. When asked, he said he had lost it, but offered to pay a part in a few days and the rest shortly afterwards. On the first occasion he paid £20, but the rest has never been forthcoming and Julyan's efforts to recover it have not succeeded. Stone is now in a 'dangerous' state of health and Julyan thinks it very unlikely the money will now be repaid unless it is deducted from his future pay. He therefore asks if their Lordships would make such an order against his pay so that the men may receive what is owed.
