Folios 163-164: Richard Gaire Janverin, Hull Rendezvous. Acknowledging receipt of Admiralty letter confirming the order for bounties to be given to volunteers, and to parties for the discovery of concealed seafaring men. Noting that they have requested the Navy Board to supply a tender for his use, he asks if they would appoint Lieutenant George [Pax?] as commander, since he was employed in that role for the 'whole of the late war' and knows the area well. Also confirms that, as per their orders, he has written to Admiral Sir Charles Rowley to ask if he would send a vessel around as soon as possible since their exertions to procure men are strictly limited at present for want of a secure holding place. Though Hull is a garrison town, he notes that there are no troops present who could assist them in securing the pressed men.
