Folios 112-113: Charles Inglis, HMS Queen Charlotte, Chatham. Advising that on commissioning the ship the previous Monday he had applied for a party of marines to be embarked, but has now been informed by the CO at headquarters that there are no disposable men here. Asks for further directions, if he is to apply elsewhere or if their Lordships would appoint some to be sent, as they are so necessary whilst the ship is being fitted, especially as no other officers have yet joined.
