Folio 247-248: James Irwin, HMS Rinaldo, Northfleet. Reports HMS Rinaldo is ready for sea and all the Officers joined except Lieutenant Nathaniel Belchier who was appointed on 31 August 1808. Request the appoinment of another Lieutenant junior to Lieutenant Clifton Curtis and also requests twenty two supernumeraries now on board may be borne as part of the Complement of HMS Rinaldo.
