Folios 205-206: Frederick Paul Irby, HMS Amelia, Little Nore. Having received the enclosed Summons. He requests to be informed whether he should have Permission from Their Right Honourable Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to attend to it. He observers the said Moses Levy was impressed on board HMS Amelia one night during the month of December 1807 out of a Gravesend Boat with several others, but his promising to procure two Able Seamen in his room (which promise he never performed) he was permitted to go on shore next morning. It appears the said Moses Levy was in the employment of a Crimp.
Folio 207: enclosure with folios 205-206. Summons for Frederick Paul Irby and James John Baks to appear in His Majesty's Court of Common pleas on 1 May 1808 in order to defend the action of Moses Levy. Witness Sir James Mansfield Knight at Westminister 12 February 1808
