Description

Folios 88-89: Henry Inman, Sea Fencibles, Lynn, Norfolk. Reply to letter dated 29 September 1807 and he encloses the exact return of the numbers of men raised by him to inform you that he issued nineteen Discharge Tickets to the said men, which he sent to Yarmouth in the Hebe Cutter of this port on 24 September 1807 and received a letter from Vice Admiral Douglas acknowledging the receipt of those men on 25 September 1807. He has forwarded One Discharge Ticket with a Proclamation to Captain Joseph Bullen at Wisbeach, and one to Lieutenant William Tatam at Spalding to shew and endeavour to convince any men, of their return, which might come forward (but of no avail). Lieutenant Richard Templar of HMS Ernest [HMS Earnest] applied to him for two by desire of Captain Hunter which he furnished him with, added to eleven remaining completes his Number of Tickets.
