Folios 240-241: Samuel Jackson, HMS Mosquiito [Musquito], Yarmouth Roads. Replies to enquiry to state the case of Thomas Godfrey. He entered voluntarily and received the Bounty 3 or 4 months ago.
Folios 242-243: enclosure with folios 240-241. Letter dated 20 June 1805 from Cobb & Co, Margate, to William Marsden, Admiralty. Their apprentice, Thomas Godfrey, was impressed on 16 [June 1805] off Shields and taken on board HMS Musqueter [Musquito], Jackson Commander. They enclose his indenture [not present] and can state that he never served at sea before the date of his indenture. Hope for his immediate discharge.
