Folios 211-212: William James, Wolverhampton. Forwards a letter which he believes is credible. Letter dated 29 June 1805 from Thomas Holt, Liverpool, to William Briscoe, Wolverhampton. A vessel has arrived with news of a french fleet of 15 sails of the line and 6 frigates, having arrived at Martinico on 13 May [1805]. The vessel which brought the news, the Triton, sailed from St Lucia on 15 [May 1805] within 2 hours of the intelligence being known, and all vessels being ordered to put to sea immediately.
