Folios 201-202: Joseph James, HMS Meteor, St Helens. Receipt of letter dated 21 [February 1805] received at sea on 27 [February 1805] informing him that Lieutenant Robert Rowley is appointed in lieu of Lieutenant Mundall whose leave of absence expired on 4 January [1805]. He [Mundall] joined HMS Meteor on his arrival from sea on 23 [February 1805]. His reason for not joining sooner was as the result of an injury caused by a fall. Asks for directions whether to continue Lieutenant Mundall or to superceded him by Lieutenant Rowley who has not yet joined.
