Folios 172-173: Nicholas Ingram, Sea Fencibles, Weymouth. Lieutenant William Bellew employed under his command in the Sea Fencibles has had dangerous epileptic fits. Encloses a letter from him and the Surgeon's certificate. He asks to be allowed to go home to receive care for his health.
Folios 174-175: enclosure with folios 172-173. Letter dated 4 May 1805 from William Bellew, Weymouth, to Nicholas Ingram. As a result of alarming seizures he has recently had it is necessary for him to received the care of his friends. Asks leave to go to the country till his health is recovered.
Folios 176: enclosure with folios 172-173. Certificate dated 3 May 1805 from Stephen P Bryer, Surgeon, Weymouth. Certifies that Lieutenant Bellew has been afflicted with epileptic fits particularly one violent attack on the night of 30 April [1805] for which his advice and assistance was required. |Believes he should retire from duty for a considerable time.
