Description

Folios 166-167: Nicholas Ingram, Sea Fencibles, Weymouth. Encloses a receipt for a volunteer for HMS Pluto and another for a young man who belonged to the Grayhound revenue cutter who was sent to him by Captain Folliett under the care of Lieutenant Osmer and 2 constables. He provides this information in case the Customs Commissioners apply for his discharge. Asks what he should pay the constables.

Folio 168: enclosure with folios 166-167. Receipt from Captain Richard Janverin for James Hawkins, aged 16, received on board HMS Pluto from Weymouth on 24 March 1805.

Folios 169-170: enclosure with folios 166-167. Letter dated Monday 10am from Daniel Folliett to Captain Ingram, Weymouth. The young man who will be sent to him under guard of Lieutenant osmer and 2 constables has been detected robbing a garden and threatening the proprietor. He thinks he is a proper subject for HM service.

Folios 171: enclosure with folios 166-167. Receipt dated 8 April 1805 from Captain Richard Janverin for William Moore, Ordinary seaman aged 29, received on board HMS Pluto in Weymouth Roads from Captain Nicholas Ingram.
