Folios 309-310: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Is sending a letter from Lieutenant Anderson who impressed Thomas Ansell, John Davis, George Coombe, Archibald Dunn, Cornelius Macquire, Robert Bailey and William Mitchell along with their papers. Irwin did not see them as he was at Ramsgate. Anderson thought that as their protections were issued before the order to impress, they were cancelled. The apprentices had been at sea before and had served two terms and William Mitchell mate of the Aurora had no protection.
Folios 311-312: enclosure with folios 309-310. Letter dated 16 April 1804 by Jarratt [Bouliolt] Walker lane, Tower Street, to Mr Marsden. He asks for the discharge of Thomas Ansell, John Davis, George Coombe, Archibald Dunn, Cornelius Macquire, Robert Bailey and William Mitchell lately arrived from Southern whale fishery and now aboard HMS Utrecht. He sends their affadvits and indentures. He aslso asks for the discharge of William Mitchell harpooner from HMS Meteor and now aboard HMS Aurora.

Folio 317: Enclosure with folios 311-312. Lieutenant Henderson, Impressment Deal to Captain Irwin, April 7 1804. He is sending the three indentures for the impressed men with reasons for the rejection of the papers written on the back. They all looked too old and seem to be serving a second apprentice. [not present].
He is sending four protections that seem to go against the order of November 5 1803. William Mitchell is second mate of HMS Aurora and not a harpooner.
Folios 318-319: enclosure with folios 309-310. James Master, HMS Meteor, Spithead. He is enclosing a writ of Habeas Corpus which he delivered to Admiral Montague and the letter he received this morning but he does not feel sanctioned to discharge the men.
Folios 320-321: enclosure with folios 311-312. [unreadable] Royal William, Spithead, to Captain Masters, HMS Meteor. May 3 1804. The Admiral says he thinks the writ of Habeas Corpus must be obeyed.
Folios 322-323: enclosure with folios 320-321. John Boncotts and [unreadable] J.P.s Middlesex. Thomas Gay, Master of the Aurora, Southern Whale Fishery swears that on 22 February 1803, Jacob Cuff, Cornelius Macquire and Robert Bailey bound themselves as apprentices but they were impressed and sent to HMS Utrecht and none of them had served at sea before.
Folio 324: enclosure with folios 320-321. Muster list of 23 named men for the Aurora Southern Whale Fishery for February 25 1804 signed by Thomas Peters Customs House.
