Folios 270-271: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. John White, a ticket master from Ramsgate was pressed from the Jane of Sunderland, Master Reed, in lieu of James Purdy, impressed by Lieutenant Leavey. John White is not one of Lieutenant Leavey's gang but has been ocasionally employed by Mr Laurance, Naval Storekeeper at Deal.
