Folios 251-252: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. He is enclosing a letter from Lieutenant Riboleau [Ribouleau]with the Impress service at Dover. He agrees that the boats in that service are not suited to the work as they are not big enough to manage the conditions there.
Folios 253-254: enclosure with folios 251-252. Letter dated 3 January 1804 by John Riboleau, [Ribouleau] Impress Officer, Dover. The boats for his service are not adequate for the tasks as they are too small and unseaworthy. The ones he had at Deal were much better.
