Folios 216-217: John Joyce, HMS Discovery, Swin. James Faukney, Boatswain and Joshua Russell, Carpenter went ashore on 25 February 1804 with Lieutenant James Morley and got drunk, Morley returned without them. A petty officer found them the next day, still drunk and they were told to come aboard immediately as the ship was sailing. They had not returned by 2.00 pm. They have repeatedly been drunk and neglected their duties so he asks for replacements.
