Folios 388-389: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Reports that William Nesbitt late belonging to the ship Peggy Volunteered to serve in His Majesty's Fleet before he was sent off to the Flag Ship in the Downs and suppose he has received his Bounty ere this the Certificate of Baptism is no doubt correct but he must have been near those years old when the Ceremony took place has the young man acknowledges he was in his 19 year.
Folios 390-391: enclosures with folios 388-389. Letter dated 17 September 1803 by Charles Herring, No 6 Fowkes Building, Tower Street, to the Admiralty. States that William Nesbitt an apprentice belonging to the Peggy was Impressed in the Downs and taken onboard HMS Puissant Flag Ship. Captain George Irwin as it appears from his Baptism Certificate that he is only 16 or 17. He request his discharge.
