Description

Folios 376-377: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Covering letter for the enclosed application for Ticketmen in Lieu of Men Impressed from the India Company Ship Sir William Bensley and Fame by Captain John Dixon Commanding HMS Apollo. he has accordingly supplied them and they will proceed to the River as soon as the tide is favourable.

Folio 378: enclosure with folios 376-377. John Dixon, HMS Apollo. Certificate that he has taken twelve men out of the Honourable Companys' Ship Sir William Bensley that were supernumeraries belonging to HMS Apollo in lieu of the men Impressed.

Folios 379-380: enclosure with folios 376-377. Letter dated 25 August 1803 by Robert Rhods, Honourable Companys' Ship Sir William Bensley, to George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Request for Ticketmen to replace the men Impressed as per the enclosed Certificate [Folio 378].

Folios 381-382: enclosure with folios 376-377. Letter dated 24 August 1803 by [John Valentine] Baker, Honourable Company Ship Fame. To George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Request for Ticketmen to replace Impressed men to enable him to continue.
