Folios 358-359: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] Return of the Numbers of Men procured for the His Majesty's Fleet by the Lieutenants under his direction between 1 July 1803 & 31 July 1803. Likewise [not present] List of the Gangs Employed at the different Rendezvous. It would have been sent on the 1st had not the officers been employed a float Impressing men from the East Indiamen. He reports that he does not thinks that the Rendezvous at Folkestone will answer the expense of keeping it open, but if they wish it to remain he requests another Lieutenant in lieu of Lieutenant Francis Storey who is not equal to that employ.
