Folios 314-315: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Covering letter with the return of the enclosed letters respecting Robert Dawson and acquaint you that he saw Lieutenant Samuel Price Leavey who Impressed Robert Dawson, he declares he had no kind of protection, that neither young man or the Master Edward Davison ever mentioned that he was an apprentice. Mr Edward Davison said it was the boys first voyage.
Folios 316-317: enclosure with folios 314-315. Letter dated 25 May 1803 by John Newall, London, to the Admiralty. States that Robert Dawson and the enclosed [not present] Indenture (which is sent up from the owner at Bridlngton and sworn by the Master of the Jane - Edward Davidson).
Folios 318-319: enclosure with folios 314-315. Edward Davison, Affidavit sworn before [A or H?] Reynell, Middlesex JP. Public Office, Labbert Street. Dated 25 May 1803. That Robert Dawson is an Apprentice.
