Folios 308-309: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. He acquaints them that he had occasion to order Lieutenant Harry Dawe at margate to send his Petty Officers with Ticketmen to Deal on the 21 April 1803 and 23 April 1803 the expenses was charged in his account of Disbursements, and objected to by the Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy, as Margate is distance more than ten miles from Deal, there was a large Fleet of East India men in the Downs, and it was blowing a gale which made it impossible to send them by water. Likewise on the 16 May 1803 he went to Ramsgate and Margate to inspect the Gangs and Regulate the Ticketmen. He request the Commissioners be ordered to allow Lieutenant Harry Dawe the 14s Paid the Petty Officers on the 21 April 1803 and 23 April 1803 for their Travelling expenses to Deal and back to Margate, likewise his expenses of Chaise hire to Ramsgate, Margate and back to Deal on 19 April 1803.
