Description

Folios 300-301: George Irwin, Regulating Officer, Deal. Ae per Admiralty orders he ordered Lieutenant Harry Dawe to discharge the Seven Tickermen Pressed at Margate:- Thomas Page, William Bartlett, Stephen Bartlett, Thomas Bartlett, George Pamphlett, Edward Emptage & Henry Jones, as they have been twice employed on board Homeward bound Indiamen by his directions and brought Certificates of having done there Duty and left the Ships Safe at their moorings in the River.

Folios 302-303: enclosure with folios 300-301. Letter dated 7 May 1803 by Francis Cobb, Margate, Deputy Mayor of Dover tot he Admiralty. The Seven Men who had Tickets:- Thomas Page, William Bartlett, Stephen Bartlett, Thomas Bartlett, George Pamphlett, Edward Emptage & Henry Jones, were impressed when that had Tickets granted to them. Request they be discharged.
