Description

Folios 597-598: John Joyce, Clement's Inn. Encloses letter received from his Agent and would be obliged if necessary Order to enable Agent to get his pay for time in Juste could be procured.

Folios 599-600: enclosure with folios 597-598. Letter from Hugh Stanger, Clements Inn to Captain Joyce dated 15 May 1802. Encloses his accounts (not with letter). With regard to pay whilst Acting Captain on the Juste, sent on 8 January 1801 to the Admiralty, Earl St Vincent's Acting Order and requested order for you to be paid. On 16 January 1802 sent to Mr Nepean your successor's receipt for the usual papers towards payment of his accounts and entreating him to would move their Lordships to order your being paid but its not being granted prevents my obtaining your pay.
