Folios 571-572: George Jones, HMS Hunter, Carrick Roads. Replying to Admiralty letter of 18 February with regard to the apprentice belonging to John Cox states that John Williams was discharged from HMS Argonaut to the Hunter on 20 July 1801 as a Class Boy. His real name is Onesephorus Green, an Apprentice to the said John Cox and of the age stated in the Petition, which is enclosed.
Folio 573: enclosure with folios 571-572. Petition of John Cox of Breams Buildings, Copper Plate Printer. States that Onesephorus Green, aged 16 years"eloped" and entered as a Boy on HMS Hunter in the name of John Williams. States that he made application with the Indenture on 30 December 1801 when their Lordships ordered the case to be referred to Plymouth, but the ship had sailed to Falmouth where it may stay for some time. Requests the grant of an Order for his apprentice to be discharged.
